Waterville-Mark A. Plourde, 48, died peacefully on Saturday, March 24, at his home in Waterville.

He was born on October 28, 1963, in Skowhegan, Maine, the son of Robert L. Plourde and Doris A. (Pierce) Boutelle.

Mark enjoyed ice and fresh water fishing. He liked bow hunting, smelting and picking wild mushrooms. He was proud of obtaining his driver’s license and was always the life of the party.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Doris and Steve Boutelle of Augusta; his father and stepmother, Robert and Esther Plourde of St. Albans; his children, Justin Plourde and companion Kate Grafton of Bangor; Brittany Plourde and companion Jason Aube of Oakland and Brett Plourde of Oakland; grandson, Riley Grafton; his companion, Erin Kibbin and her children, Anthony Park and Issac Griffeth, all of Waterville; siblings, Jo-Ann Salisbury and husband Brett of Detroit, Sandra Powell and husband Brian of Oakland, Alan Plourde and companion Rhonda Woodman of Pittsfield, Lisa Plourde and companion Jake Hamm of Pittsfield, Todd Pooler and companion Kimberly Mayhew of Pittsfield, Toby Pooler and wife Lois of Pittsfield, Randy Plourde and wife Sharon of Palmyra, Roberta Hart and husband Royce of Detroit and Steve Boutelle II of Augusta; friend and mother of Brittany and Brett, Laura Plourde of Michigan; special aunts and uncles, Kay and Merlon Dunton of Ripley, Clarence White of Detroit and the late Marilyn White, and Leroy Pierce of Hartland; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by his stepfather, Robert Pooler; grandparents, Earl and Doris Pierce and Robert and Mary Plourde.

A memorial service will be held at a time to be announced at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Avenue, Pittsfield, with a committal service immediately following at the Powers Cemetery, Route 2, in Pittsfield.
