Obituary:
Pittsfield-Ada Mae Bryant, 84, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, in Pittsfield.

Ada was born in Harrington, Maine, the daughter of the late Lester and Stella Rumery. She married Earl Bryant and together they raised their family. She owned and operated a dairy farm with her husband for several years. She also worked for Wyman’s Blueberries in Cherryfield, a fish factory in Harrington, but her favorite employment was at SAS Shoemakers in Pittsfield where she was a proud manufacturer of their shoes.

She enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles and was known for making the best homemade corn chowder, oyster stew and lasagna. She loved her family, her coffee and her little dachshund, Brooke. She will be lovingly missed and remembered.

She is survived by her daughter, Earlene Robertson of Pittsfield; grandchildren Norman Robertson and wife Lisa of Pittsfield, Earl Bryant of Pittsfield, Melissa McDougal and husband Robert of Hartland, Dana Bessey and wife Soumia Tber of Augusta, Donald Driver of Augusta and Thelma Pike and husband Neil of Canaan; great grandchildren, Mitchell, LeeAnn, Ryan, Brandon, Iman, William, Gabrielle, Abigail, Tabitha, Kristy and Daniel.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Earl Bryant; son, Clayton Bryant; and three brothers, Phillip, Alonzo and Faye.

A graveside service for both Ada and her son, Clayton, will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2012, at the Maloon Cemetery, Grant Road, St. Albans, with Rev. Dwight Richardson officiating.
