Burnham-Alice L. Rowe, 64, died peacefully with her family by her side, on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, in Pittsfield.

Alice was born on November 21, 1947, in Warwick, Rhode Island, the daughter of Britton and Florence Dunham. She graduated from Cranston East High School with the class of 1965. She married Barry L. Rowe Sr and together they raised their family.

She enjoyed painting and making crafts. She loved being with her family and adored her dogs. She will be lovingly remembered.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Barry Rowe Sr of Burnham; her two sons, Barry Rowe and wife Samantha of Rhode Island and Alfred Rowe Sr and companion Malissa Stewart of Burnham; grandchildren, Daniel Rowe, Joshua O’Donnell, Shelby Edwards and A.J. Rowe Jr; mother, Florence Dunham of Rhode Island; sisters, Florence Christensen and husband Timothy of Rhode Island and Lois Cahral of Florida; brothers-in-law, David Rowe and wife Sue Ann of North Carolina and Paul LaLiberty of Kezar Falls; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father; and her sister, Mary.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., with a funeral service at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012, at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Avenue, Pittsfield, with the Rev. Elizabeth Sullivan officiating.
