Obituary:Bangor, Maine - Pauline S. Bennett-Madore, 92, passed away peacefully at a health care facility on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, in Bangor, Maine.
Born in Lakeview, Maine, in 1920, she was the daughter of the late Omar and Effie Hamlin and sister of the late Arlene Villani. Mrs. Madore was raised and attended public schools in Milo. Among the many successes, talents and abilities in her life, she was an accomplished pianist, organist and choir director at numerous churches in Central Maine, first and foremost being in Dexter.
Years following the death of her first husband, Donald H. Bennett, by whom she had five children, she married Ulysses Madore of Pittsfield, Maine, now deceased. She is predeceased by her son Daniel Bennett and daughter Brenda Bennett.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon and her husband Carroll Dubay of Sangerville and Bonnie Fitz-Patrick of Bangor; son James Bennett and his fiancée Susan Bornstein of Wakefield, Massachusetts; eight grandchildren, James, Shelly, Susan, Donald, Deborah, Gregory, Eric and Carlton; several nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2012, at the United Baptist Church, in Milo, with the Rev. Phil McGlauflin officiating. Interment will follow immediately thereafter at Evergreen Cemetery, in Milo.
