Obituaries

Pittsfield-Virginia Mae Lary, 75, died peacefully on Friday, January 29, 2010.

She was born in Hartland, Maine, on May 26, 1934, the daughter of the late Carlyle and Marguerite (Manson) Greene.  She married William Lary in 1950 and together they raised 8 children.

Ginny was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed reading and crocheting.  She liked working in her flower gardens and going to area yard sales.

She worked for Northeast Shoe, SAD #53 and retired from the Edwards Company.  She loved her family and will be missed very much.

She is survived by her 8 children; William Lary and his wife, Carolyn, of Harmony, Terrie Reynolds and her husband, Roland, of Wallagrass, Cecilia Stone and her husband, Billy, of Birchwood, Tenn., Dwayne Lary and his wife, Mary, of Woodville, Ivy Yeo and her husband, Dale, of Pittsfield, Lori Caron and her husband, Leon, of Monmouth, Kelly Ramsdell and her husband, Joe, of Canaan and Craig Lary and his wife, Terry, of Hartland; 3 sisters, Hilda Steeves and her husband, Norman, of Pittsfield, Carlene Grant and her husband, Denzil, of Detroit, and Linda Kitchin and her husband, Stanley, of Pittsfield; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased of her husband of 43 years, William Lary and her brother, Robert Greene.

A graveside service will be held in the spring with the Rev. Kevin Brooks officiating at the Fairview Cemetery in Canaan.
