Name: Frank Johnson Dates: Birth date: July 14, 1916 Death date: July 12, 2010 Obituary: Plymouth-Frank S. Johnson, 93, died and went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on July 12, 2010, in Bangor.
Frank was born in Portland, Maine, on July 14, 1916, the son of Oran and Marie (Stormes) Johnson. He served our country in the United States Army during World War II. He was employed as a farmer for John Weeks and enjoyed working for the Weeks family very much. He lived in a boarding home in Belfast for several years and then moved into the Ginnish Foster Home in Belfast and moved with the family to Plymouth. He lived with them for 26 years.
He is survived by his half-sister, Lorraine McIssac of Chilliwack, BC, Canada; his half-brother, Robert True and his wife, Joann, of Mesa, Arizona; his special friends, Ray and Brenda Morse and their children, Heidi, Molly and Holly; Arthur and Ramona Glidden and their children, Arthur and Angela; Frank and Belinda Prosser, Ray and Darylynn Prosser, Tom and Priscilla Hanson, and the Ginnish family, Gordon, Anita, Joey and Joseph, who loved Frank and took excellent care of him.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm, Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Avenue, Pittsfield with the Rev. Glenn Nichols officiating. A committal service with full military honors will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, in Augusta.
