Obituary for Carolyn B. Galletta

PORTAGE LAKE-Carolyn Bartlett Galletta, 77, died on July 4, 2019, after a period of failing health in Bangor.

Carolyn was born on May 1, 1942, in Presque Isle, Maine, the daughter of the late Theodore and Olga (Howe) Bartlett. She graduated from Ashland High School and attended college in the Boston area. She worked for several physicians in the Caribou and Presque Isle area as well as at the Cary Memorial Hospital.

Carolyn was an avid Red Sox fan. She liked going to the local restaurants, loved her family pets and enjoyed her summer home with Jim on Portage Lake. She belonged to the Miata Club in Lecanto, Florida, where she and Jim made their winter home.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, James Galletta Sr of Portage Lake and Lecanto, FL; step children: James Galletta Jr of AK, Diane Dispoto and husband Greg of FL, Patricia (Trish) Kinney and husband Norm of FL, and Matthew Galletta and wife Jenny of Manchester; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a special cousin, Blake Bartlett of Hallowell.

She was predeceased by her parents.

A graveside committal will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2019, at the Ashland Municipal Cemetery, Sheridan Road, Ashland, where she will be laid to rest beside her parents.
