Obituary for Gunnar J. Lovely

PITTSFIELD-Gunnar J. Lovely, 22, died on August 12, 2019, in Tampa, Florida.

Gunnar was born on November 16, 1996, in Waterville, Maine, the son of Joe Lovely and Amy Stewart. During his years at Maine Central Institute, he played both soccer and basketball; He graduated with the class of 2015. He moved to the city of Tampa with his girlfriend, Courtney, and was employed in construction.

Gunnar was a joker, always trying to make others smile. He played on the little league team for baseball and always enjoyed the game of basketball. He enjoyed his cars and motorcycles, had a great collection of sneakers, and loved living his life at the beach. He left us too soon and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his dad, Joe Lovely; 3 brothers: Dylan Lodge, Kyle Blaisdell, and Tharon Blaisdell; grandmother, Bonnie Brown; grandfather, Richard Lovely; great-grandmother, Elizabeth Curtis; aunt, Sherry Wallace; uncle, Steve Brown; girlfriend, Courtney Crowell; and numerous family members and friends.

He was predeceased by his mom, Amy Stewart; his grandparents, Doc and Joy Stewart; and his great-grandfather, John Curtis.

A Candlelight Vigil of Remembrance will be held at 7:30 p.m., Friday, August 23, at the Manson Park in Pittsfield. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 24, at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Route 152, in Hartland.
