Obituary for Linda S. Belmain

PITTSFIELD-Linda Sue Belmain, 67, died peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2020, in Pittsfield.

She was born on October 6, 1952, in Waterville, Maine, a twin daughter of Clarendon Pomeroy and Natalie (Taylor) Humphrey. She graduated from Warsaw Middle-High School with the class of 1970 and received a degree in accounting from Thomas College. She was a dedicated employee of Sebasticook Valley Hospital for 50 years.

Linda loved her family. She was a constant supporter of her kids and grandchildren. She was very self-sufficient and enjoyed doing her own home projects. She liked tending to her garden, putting together puzzles, crocheting, and knitting. She could always be found at the sporting events of her grandchildren. She was a wonderful mom and the absolute best Mimi.

She is survived by her two daughters: Jessica Belmain and companion Ford Nelson of Canaan and Karen Belmain and companion John Hinton of Pittsfield; grandchildren: Daniel Griffeth and girlfriend Laura Weatherbee, Jacob Griffeth, Seth Jones, Emily Jones, Taylor Hinton and boyfriend Jayden Ireland, and Zachary Hinton and girlfriend Tasha Howard; her beloved twin sister, Brenda Devoe and husband Wally of Gray; two brothers: Larry Pomeroy of Burnham and Gary Pomeroy and wife Linda of Rochester, NH; nieces and nephews: Heidi and Jeff Dorr and son, Caleb Young, Greg and Heather Merrithew and kids, Jack and Onagh, Corey and Lindsay Devoe and kids, Ella and Remy, and Jeremy and Stacey Hamlin and kids, Hunter and Harley; and many other special nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, Clarendon Pomeroy; her mother and stepfather, Natalie and Glen Humphrey; two sisters, Connie Hamlin and Gale Russell; and Gene Belmain, the father of her two daughters.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
