Obituary for Sheila T. Squires

HARMONY-Sheila T. Squires, 76, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a prolonged illness on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, in Bangor.

Sheila was born on September 15, 1942, in Boston, MA, the oldest of seven children born to Maurice and Theresa (Gallagher) Herne. She grew up in Wellesley, MA, and married Robert Squires on August 25, 1962. She started her working career as a nurse’s aide, but later on she became a licensed cosmetologist and operated her own salon, “Talk of the Town” located in Palmyra.

She was predeceased by her parents; an infant daughter, Mary; and two brothers: Michael Herne and Donald Herne.
