Obituary for Sean Wayne Flood

BURNHAM-With broken hearts, we mourn the untimely unexpected death of Sean Wayne Flood on January 25th, 2019.

Sean was born on July 9th, 1995, in Waterville, Maine. He spent the majority of his life growing up in Burnham. He attended Maine Central Institute, graduating in 2013. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Navy as a Sonar Technician.

Sean loved his cat Zoey, “snowball” and she adored him. He cherished and loved his Gram and Gramps Flood, with whom he had a special loving bond and spent an enormous part of his life with them. He loved spending time with his friends and family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and laughed often.

Sean will always be remembered, for his vivid blue eyes and his heartwarming smile that brightened up the world. He had a kind and generous spirit and always wanted to help others. He left a lasting impression on all those that met him.

How do you sum up Sean’s life…there are not enough words. He meant a lot to a lot of people. He was still learning about life, he had dreams and goals. But most of all, he was so loved by everybody.

Despite his God given gift of helping others, inside he was suffering in darkness, most recently battling an addiction to heroin. At this time, we must come together for Sean’s sake, and remember the enormous amount of joy he brought into our lives and to those around him. He will continue to stay with us through our memories. Please, remember Sean and his decision to try heroin that ultimately cost him his life….make a different choice. Seek help. Don’t wait.

He leaves behind his father Wayne Flood and partner Dawn Lambert of Levant; his mother and stepfather, Tammy and Jeff Littlefield of Benton; brother Corey Welch and companion Jessica Girrior of Burnham and their children, Bryce and Laci; sister Nicole Luce and partner Auteum Lake of Holden; gramps and gram, Neil and Hilda Flood of Burnham; grandmother, Alice Faloon of Palmyra; uncle Michael Flood and partner Maureen Sullivan of Burnham; Aunt Laurie and Jim Jensen of Pittsfield, along with his cousins Jada and James Jensen; Uncle Rod Faloon and Rhonda of Pittsfield along with his cousins Tiffany Comis and Taylor Drown; Uncle Joey Faloon and Susan of Detroit; and many special friends.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Galen L. Faloon; and his great grandmother, Carmelita Flood.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon, with a service at noon, Saturday, February 2, 2019, at the Winnecook Christian Church, 4 Chapel Lane, in Burnham. A potluck gathering will follow and all are welcome.
